DESAM demands swift action

DESAM has exposed and demanded swift actions against a Government school teacher who had been taking her salary without attending school.
Speaking to media persons at DESAM'S office at Sagolband Moirang Lierak today, its president Moirangthem Angamba Meitei demanded the State Government to take up necessary actions against the ZEO, staff and teacher involved in the incident.
He said that the teacher, Naorem Rajmani Devi from Langol, joined Kakching Primary School on 2001 but stopped attending school after 2013 .
Then on August 4, 2015, the then Education (S) Director ordered Rajmani to be utilised at Wabagai Tera Urak High School.
He claimed that the teacher attended the new school for just one day and completely stopped after that.
DESAM had urged the teacher to attend her classes but to no avail.
Angamba said that Rajmani had been taking her salary for the past five years without attending any class and accused Kakching ZEO, AI, DI and DDO of turning a blind eye to the issue.
Condemning the incident, he urged the Education Minister, Commissioner and Director to investigate the matter and take up necessary action against those involved.
He also demanded die State Government to arrange a proper transfer policy for teachers to prevent such kind of incident in the future.
