Jyotin calls for investigation into missing rice quota for Thangmeiband Kendra

Jyotin Waikhom has urged the authority concerned to investigate into the missing rice quota for the people of Thangmeiband Kendra.
Speaking to media persons at his residence today, he said that two months worth of rice grains, or approximately 3200 quintals, have not yet been distributed to the people of Thangmeiband.
He claimed that the nominee of the sitting MLA of the Kendra had not distributed any rice to the people till now despite the fact that the quota for the month of February and March had already been lifted.
Numerous women who participated in the meet showed their ration cards and asked where the rice quota for the two months have disappeared.

FIRs had already been lodged against the sitting MLA at Lamphel and Imphal police station regarding the missing rice quotas and alleged that lack of intervention on the part of the authority concerned has resulted in the continuing disappearance of rice.
Urging necessary actions, Jyotin Waikhom said that if the involved culprits are caught in time, the inconveniences faced by the people of Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency would be eliminated.
