Congress candidates advise to stay in concert

All the Congress candidates, who contested in the recently held elections to the 10th Manipur State Legislative Assembly, have been advised to stay in concert by the party's High Command.
A senior leader of the Congress informed Hueiyen Lanpao that acting on the advice of the Congress High Command, a meeting was convened at the official residence of Chief Minister, O Ibobi today at around 3 pm.
The advice came of late in consideration of the prevailing law and order situation in the state where there is threat on the lives of some Congress candidates, the senior leader disclosed.
Today's meeting was reportedly attended by MPCC President Gaikhangam and other Ministers and MLAs.
However, Minister Y Erabot and MLA Govindas Konthoujam did not turn up in the meeting.
The meeting also minutely discussed the prospects of the Congress candidates in the upcoming re-poll in 67 polling stations scheduled on March 4 .
