ZUF extends Gaan-Ngai greetings to Zeliangrong

The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has greeted the Zeliangrong community with the coming of the week long Chakan Gaan Ngai which kick-starts on Friday.
ZUF information secretary A Dangmei said it is the festival celebrated in this fair and pleasant season of the year dispelling darkness of evils and ignorance towards posterity to mankind on earth.
"It is proper that all the people irrespective of different faiths join to celebrate the festival being the harbinger of peace and love gifted of the rich Zeliangrong cultural heritage for all communities," said the ZUF.
Meanwhile, the ZUF also said the birth anniversary of Rani Gaidinliu falls on January 26 .
