Youth ' s Forum for Protection of Human Rights (YFPHR) has expressed deep concern over the continuous attack on police personnel who are serving to protect the people.
In order to understand the actual threadbare sequence relating to the recent incidents of attack on police personnel, the State Government needs to be considerably sensitive to initiate an inquiry by appointing a Commission under Section 3 of the Commissions of Inquiry Act 1952 as the issue pertains to pubic importance, YFPHR said in a statement.
It is in the larger interest of the public to bring into picture the necessary role to be played by the Central Security Forces that any Central Forces stationed requisitioned by the State Government is to assist the State administration lest to derail the functioning of the State administration.
Since the maintenance of law and order is a State subject, personnel of any Central Forces is to aid the civil administration and not to usurped its democratic functioning.
In case, the contrary is functionalized by the Central forces, the State police forces has ample authority to initiate legal action against the Central forces.
In concern with the prevailing social and political crisis faced by ,the State, the impertinent task of the State Government is to appoint and constitute an inquiry commission to reveal the facts leading to the actual cause of the ambush on December 15, 2016 and May 19, 2017, it added.
