Manipur University Fest begins

Manipur University Festival (MUFEST) 2017 was inaugurated today at the centenary Hall of Manipur University.
The opening ceremony was organised by Manipur University Student's Union and graced by Vice-Chancellor Prof Adya Prasad Pandey, advisor to Chief Minister P Sharatchandra Singh, Dean of Student's Welfare Prof Kh Tomba Singh and cultural coordinator Dr Maibam Chouijit Singh as presidium members.
Speaking at the programme, Vice-Chancellor Prof Adya Prasad Pandey lauded the student's union for organising the festival.
"For overall personality development of students, they should have knowledge and talents in various fields and activities.
This kind, of function facilitates greater opportunities for the students to show their inner quality and talents.
This is the age of throat-cut world.
As such, students should have multi talents and personalities to survive.
Show your talent and become a role model for others," Prof Pandey said.
Saratchandra Singh said, "The future is belongs to you and you are solely responsible for the betterment of the society.
Poverty, health and education are some of major challenges in the present society.
Let us work together to solve the issues" .
Prof Tomba Singh stated, "For the first time in the history of Manipur University, the Vice- Chancellor inspected some of the hostels and interacted with the
students.
I believe this is the beginning of quality education, developmental works and improvement of academic atmosphere in the campus" .
