After many years of hard work, the state of Manipur now has a management institute with good infrastructure which will be improved to the standard of other national institutes in the country, said Khaidem Borkeshor Singh, chairman, Institute of Cooperative Management, Imphal.
Speaking at the inaugural function of "Library and computer lab, staff quarters, 1st batch of BBA, 5th batch of PGDCA & PGDBM and 21st session of HDCM" on Wednesday at Institute of Cooperative Management, cooperative complex, Lamphelpat, Imphal, the chairman of the Institute of Cooperative Management, Imphal added that with the completion of the hostel, the institute can bring out outstanding students in the field of management.
Inaugurating the function, Ghanshyam H.Amin, president of National Cooperative Union of India who also graced the function as the chief guest stated that he could see several changes in the institute since he had visited it ten years back.
Expressing contentment over such transformation, the chief guest said that the institute would help to build the career of the students after undergoing the training conducted under the guidelines of the Human Resource Department (HRD) of the government of India.

Somorendro Singh, principal-in-charge of the Institute of Cooperative Management, Imphal stated that besides the introduction of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Management (PGDCA) courses, introduction of Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Institute of Cooperative Management, Imphal is also being planned.
Dr..NRanjana, joint director (Admn), NCCT, Delhi said that she would do whatever she can for the development of the institute.
Ghanashyam H.Amin, president of National Cooperative Union of India, P.Vaiphei, IAS, commissioner (cooperation), government of Manipur, Khaidem Bor Kishore Singh, chairman, Institute of Cooperative Management and various other dignitaries graced the function.
