AR reaches out with job opportunity

Kangpokpi, August 30 2018:
Assam Rifles, under Red Shield Division, reached out to the youth of Harup area with job opportunities in the armed forces on August 27.The Assam Rifles as part of its visit to the area with the job opportunity also conducted gun display at Harup Naga village where career counselling on how to enter into the armed forces was also held.
Around 30/30 youths of the area participated keenly in the program.
Major Yogesh Shivalkar, Post Commander, 38 AR Kangpokpi briefly explained the youths that mega army recruitment will be conducted at Churachandpur district in mid October where on-line application for the recruitment has already begun this August and it can be done till September 30.He also asked the youths of the area to enrol for the recruitment at Youth Employment Cell at Kangpokpi DHQs where the Assam Rifles will assist them in the on-line enrolment while motivating them not to fall prey to touts and waste parents hard earned money but rely on themselves to be responsible person in the family and society as well as the nation.
He further said that after the enrolment they can also join the pre-training program at 38 Assam Rifles Post Kangpokpi and classes for the written examination.
The youth expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles for the awareness and career counselling and express gratitude for their concerned of the welfare of the people of Harup area.
The Harup Area Joint Development Committee Chairman, Ngampu said that they have never seen such gun display and career counselling before in the area and it is the first of its kind people of Harup area experience after so many years.
He also said that it is a great opportunity for the youths of the area to enter into the armed forces so as to make a path for their livelihood and as well as serve the nation.
The Assam Rifles had also earlier distributed solar lamp in the area to some villages where electricity is not available.
