"NIT educate students, expand their horizons"

New Delhi, January 14 2019:
As part of the Assam Rifles Civic Action Project, a unit of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Churachandpur Sector Assam Rifles organised a National Integration Tour (NIT) for a team comprising of 15.students and two teachers from various schools of Singhat village.
The 14 days tour was flagged off from Khuga on January 6 with an aim to educate the students about the heritage, diversity and developmental strides made by the country in various fields.
It will also foster the spirit of National integration and give the students an opportunity to appreciate the vastness of the country, conveyed a statement of PIB (DW).
The team met President of India, Ram Nath Kovind today.
While interacting with him, one student shared his personal experience about the tour and presented a memento to the President.
Today's event was the highlight of the tour which will be helpful for the students in expanding their horizons and making a positive impact on them during their formative, years, it added.
After their visit to Delhi, the students will visit Agra to get a glimpse into the rich heritage of the country and visit the world famous Taj Mahal.
