The incident has triggered fear and has created an unease atmosphere in the border town inhabited by different communities, said the UPF.
The UPF also expressed concerned over the lapse in security measures in the border town and asked how such terrorist activities are occurring 'frequently' in a place like Moreh where maximum security forces have been deployed.
Maintaining that the UPF and KNO has been significantly engaged at present in bringing political solution for the Kuki/Zo people with the Centre and State Government through peaceful dialogue, tripartite talks, the UPF said that it will not tolerate such violence that disrupt the peaceful existence of the different communities.
The UPF urged the security forces and concerned departments to act keenly over the incident and put all efforts to nab the culprits at the earliest so as to do away with the apprehension and uneasiness of the people.
The UPF further appealed the people of Moreh town to maintain peace, stay calm and stay strong against such incidents.
