Jiri College students protest impasse in MU

Concerned over the current impasse in Manipur University, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Jiribam Unit has staged a sit-in protest in front of Jiri College, Jiribam Friday.
Organising secretary of ABVP Jiribam Unit S Inaocha Singh stated that the current deadlock between the students and the VC and authorities are having a serious toll on the careers of college students and students in the University.
The impasse has left the students' careers hanging.
Authorities and the Government should break the deadlock in time in the interest of the students and save their careers, he said.
He urged the authorities to resolve the issue and declare the results of the 6th semester students at the earliest.
The students of the college raised slogans and held placards that read - "Save Manipur University", "Save Students' careers", "Declare 6th semester results" and "Reopen Manipur University immediately" etc.
Large number of students took part in the sit-in protest which started from 11 am till 3 pm.
