One fatality, seven new cases reported

Imphal, September 04 2022:
Government bulletins on Sunday reported seven new positive cases from four districts out of 425 samples tested in the last 24 hours, showing a positivity rate of 1.6 per cent.
The 7 fresh cases (2 males & 5 females) are residents of Imphal West (1), Imphal East (2), Churachandpur (3) and Thoubal (1) districts.
Sunday reported only one recovery following which, the number of active cases rose to 61 out of which 40 are in home isolation.
One death case was also reported on Sunday and the victim was a woman resident of Imphal West who had co-morbid conditions and had received second dose of Covid vaccine.
With this, the toll from the pandemic rose to 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus had infected 1,39,738 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 31 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 58 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 136 D-type and 12 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 1465 vaccine doses administered on Satur day which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,33,947, out of which 13,08,366 had received the second dose and 2,48,985 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49792), Imphal East (32023), Thoubal (10290), Churachandpur (11275), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9975), Senapati (2545), Ukhrul (3363), Kakching (6972), Chandel (2792), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053) and Pher zawl(476) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (712), Imphal East (517), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul (52), Kakching (1241, Chandel (43); Noney (5), Tengnoupal (16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
