AR conducts dental medical camp at Molcham

Imphal, July 30 2011:
In continuation with their efforts to make Moreh a healthier and safer place to live in 31 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organized a medical camp at Khonophai village, near the International Border on 29 July 2011 .
The patients predominantly consisted of children, ladies and elder citizens.
A team comprising of doctor and paramedical staff conducted the camp.
Effect of the recent fogging and fumigation drive carried out by the battalion was quite evident as there was a considerable reduction in cases of malaria detected amongst a total of 180 patients treated during the camp.
Apart from the regular check up, emphasis was also laid on educating the locals about the seasonal diseases which are currently on the rise due to the frequent change in weather.
