Imphal, January 21, 2012:
In connection with its election campaign, the BJP has released its "Ya Ya Ho Ya," a political satirical video play at the Manipur Pradesh BJP office here, ahead of polls to the 10th Manipur Assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP National spokesperson Prakash Javadekar charged the Congress party saying that the recently released Congress manifesto in connection with the January 28 Manipur polls is full of lies, hollowness and false promises.
It has mentioned many fallible things that can never be turned into practical purposes and that the party has been repeatedly maintaining these for the last one decade.
Ya Ya Ho Ya is a stage-play designed in the traditional Manipuri proscenium theatre form which has been recorded for household distribution in DVD format, but it is not for exhibition purpose in theatre/cinema halls.
The video is a 40 minutes play.
Star actors like Gokul, Sonia, Sanatomba, Shyambabu, Chan Heisnam, Chourjit, Reena, Sapintala take the lead roles in the play.
The play tries to depict the grievances of the people during the last decade in a satirical way of presentation without mentioning any particular living name or particular place.
The BJP Manipur Pradesh has produced this play for a promotional movement of its status in the forthcoming general elections.
The party also looks forward for a good governance, peace and development in the region.
