Imphal, May 18 2018: Mapithel Area High School, SMDC, Nongdam (T) village today strongly condemned the transfer of two teachers without any replacements and utilization of 8 teachers.

The school currently has three teachers only managing classes, said the secretary SMDC in a statement issued today.

The school which has a total strength of 61 students have been facing teacher shortage for quite some time.

The Mapithel Area High School is the only Government school in the area and has been doing well in the HSLC examination of the Board of Secondary Education Manipur, said the statement.

Appeals were made to the concerned authorities but there is no development till today, the statement.

Questioning the policy and logic of the concerned department/ authorities and-Govemment over utilization of 8 teachers and transfer ring two without replacements, the school authority appealed the authorities concerned and the State Government to look into the matter and send ad equate teachers at the school at the earliest in the interest of the students.
