TPR dips, 6 new cases detected

Imphal, August 14 2022:
On Sunday, Covid-19 the daily test positivity rate in the state dropped to 2.4 per cent from Saturday's 3.3 per cent with the detection of only six new cases out of 251 samples tested.
The number of active cases in the state remains at 164.Out of the 6 fresh cases (2 males and 4 females), three are from Imphal West and one each from Imphal East, Bishnupur and Chandel districts.
In all, 25 people recovered on Sunday, out of which 20 were discharged from home isolation, three from RIMS and two from JNIMS.
There are 30 beds vacant in the 38-bedded Covid facility at JNIMS while 55 out of 62 Covid beds remain vacant in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 2,250 positive cases and 23 fatalities since the beginning of the fourth wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 424 new positive cases and 14 deaths.
A total of 173 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 1 B-type oxygen cylinder have been made available to different health facilities on Saturday, while 502 vaccine doses were administered, thus, taking the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 31,44,837, out of which 16,23,222 have been inoculated with first dose 12,94,256 with second dose and 2,27,359 with precautionary doses.
