RNCM Longmai Luangrian celebrated the 76th Naga Independence Day at Rangkhung-1 Common Ground, today.
It was attended by Thuankubui Pamei, chairman Customary Court & former president RNPO and Kapudai Dangmei, chairman Villages Council Longmai Area as presidium members.
Thuankubui Pamei hoisted the Naga National Flag while Thuanimai, pastor Rangkhung-1 carried out the prayer.
Speaking on the occasion, Thuankubui Pamei greeted all the Nagas on the auspicious occasion of 76th Naga Independence Day and elaborated the history of Naga political journey before India's Independence.
He also spoke on the formation of Naga National Council and signing of the Nine Points Agreement.
He further appealed to all the Naga political groups to come forward to expedite the final solution.
Cultural dance by Rangkhung-1 women society and Naga patriotic songs by Benjamei Phaomei & Meigunlung Gangmei enthralled the gathering.

Prayer Cell group of Longmai Area, youths, women societies and Naga National Workers also took part in the programme.
The event culminated with a vote of thanks by Chamei Riamei, advisor RNCM.
Similarly, Naga Students' Union, Shillong (NSUS) also celebrated the 76th Naga Independence Day under the theme, "Unite et Regnabit (Unite and Reign)" at Don Bosco Technical Institute, Shillong.
HK Zhimomi, president Naga Hoho hoisted the Naga flag.
Members of Uipo (Khoibu) Students' Union, Shillong, Khasi Students' Union (KSU) and Naga .
Post Graduate Students Council Committee also attended the event.
During the celebration, Naga leaders highlighted the importance of bringing all Nagas under one roof and preserving the spirit of glorious Naga legacy.
Cultural performance by Tangkhul Students' Union, Shillong and Naga National anthem led by Chakhesang Students Union, Shillong marked the event.
