Kuki village thanks Dy CM Gaikhangam, MLA Yamthong

The residents of Kuki village of Thingjang under Saikul in Senapati district of Manipur have thanked state Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam as well as local MLA Yamthong Haokip for lending a hand to them.
The villagers of Thingjang were reportedly offended after a large number of armed men from its neighbouring villlage of Khongbal Tangkhul torched around 20 huts and destroyed standing vegetable crops in the former village on June 14 .
Headman of Thingjang village Tangkhohao Haokip said on Thursday he on behalf of the villagers thanked Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam and Saikul constituency MLA Yamthong Haokip for helping the victims of the arson attack by distributing several household items to them.
Utensils, Mosquito nets, blankets, CI sheets and other basic household items were distributed to the victims of the remote village by the MLA on June 6, he said.
The village chief moreover appealed to all the communities in the state to live together in peace and harmony.
