Strolling inside Kangla permitted

The Kangla Fort Board has given official permission for certain people to take a stroll inside the historical Kangla during specified period of time in a day.
According to information obtained from Kangla Fort Board, permission to stroll inside the historical Kangla is granted to senior citizens of the state and government officials after paying a nominal fee of Rs 100 on a monthly basis.
The strolling time is from 5 to 7 in the morning and from 4:30 to 7 in the evening.
Meanwhile, another source revealed that the retaining wall and footsteps of the historical "Nungjreng Pukhri" are under construction.
The Kangla Moat along the North AOC side has also been dredged and fencing around old Govindaji Temple started.
Apart from this, the digging up of Marong Khong is under process along with stone fencing.
With the declaration of Kangla as a heritage site, the number of people visiting Kangla has increased tremendously over the years, the source added.
