Whereabouts of abducted driver, handyman still unknown

Imphal, August 07 2014:
The whereabouts of the driver and the handyman who were reportedly abducted by cadres of NSCN (K) at gun point in connection with a ransom amount of Rs 60 lakhs from Phiphema, Nagaland on July 25 last are still not known even after 12 days of the incident.
The driver identified as Langoljam Radhamohan (30) s/o L Khelen of Lamding Cherapur and handyman Khumanthem Sanjit (22) s/o Kh Binoy of Wangoo Nongyaikhong were coming in a truck bearing registration no MN01-9062 loaded with cement from Guwahati when armed cadres of NSCN (K) abducted them from Phiphema.
Following the incident, All Manipur Road Transport Drivers & Motor Workers' Union submitted a memorandum to Home Minister Gaikhangam urging him to locate the driver and handyman but no information on their whereabouts has been able to cull so far.
To ensure safe release of the duo, Gaikhangam had urged Home Minister of Nagaland to intervene into the case but still there has been no clue about their whereabouts.
