AMSU bans recruitment process

AMSU has banned the process of recruiting 155 ANMs/FHWs in the Medical Directorate.
Speaking to media persons at their DM College campus office today, AMSU vice-president K Dhanajit said that they were compelled to ban the recruitment process as many were irregularities were committed in the process.
Interview of the recruitment process started but it should be declared null and void, and the interview should not be carried on, Dhanajit said.
If the interview is carried on any further, the Medical Director and the State Government should be held accountable for any untoward incident resulting thereof.
He also appealed to all the candidates to stay away from the interview.
Notably, the interview is scheduled to be held between September 21 and September 24 .
The Directorate notified for appointment of 948 staff including 163 ANMs/FHWs, 64 male health workers, 62 pharmacists, 91 office assistants cum computer operators and 352 Grave IV staff.
AMSU general secretary Manjeet Sarangthem said that there were large scale irregularities in the process of issuing admit cards and shortlisting of candidates for the interview.
Demanding that the entire process should be held anew, Manjeet said that AMSU would investigate the matter thoroughly and befitting actions would be initiated against those found guilty.
