Bomb explodes in a hotel; 3 injured

Imphal, September 14 2011:
In yet another incident of bomb explosions in the city, a powerful bomb exploded in hotel Royal Lodge at North AOC this evening, injuring three persons.
The incident occurred around 7:30 pm this evening at Royal Lodge which is just adjacent to Raj Poly Clinic in North AOC.
The bomb blast took place in Room No M which is in the 1st floor.
The impact of the bomb destroyed the adjoining walls of the next two rooms.
Three persons occupying the three rooms were injured in the blast.
Three of the injured has been treated at Raj Poly Clinic.
One of them is said to be in a critical condition.
The injured persons have been identified as DK Paolet, s/o Daiho of Maiba village, Senapati district, Lungkhosai Chongloi(50) of Saikul and Chingchaipem Raising(37), s/o Wangkatin Raising of Peh village, Ukhrul district.
According to police reports, the bomb could have exploded accidentally.
Out of the three injured one of them could be a cadre of NSCN(IM).
However the police declined to confirm which one of the three is the NSCN(IM) cadre.
The Royal lodge is run by one M Lukhomao(55) from Mao.
Almost all the rooms of this hotel is normally booked by people from hill districts of the state.
Police have detained 5 persons staying in the hotel for further questioning.
