Imphal, March 12 2013:
Federation of Regional Indigenous Society (FREINDS) has rescued 6 boys who were trying to escape to Dimapur on 11th March 2013, according to a statement issued by Publicity Secretary of the Federation W Shanta Meetei.
Shanta said that boys who are in the age group of 13-14 years were trying to escape to Dimapur after one of the brothers of a boy caught them while playing video game near their school under Nambol PS after bunking classes.
Anticipating possible punishment from their parents, the young boys decided to escape to Dimapur and came to AOC to enquire about the rate of any available bus/winger ticket.
As the officials of the ticket counter were suspicious, they contacted the FREINDS and the boys were rescued and handed over to their respective families at the office of the federation, the statement added.
