Ahead of finalising the plan size of the State for the fiscal year 2009-2010, a preparatory meeting was held with Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh in the chair here today.
The plan size is to be finalised during a joint meeting between Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and Deputy Chairman of Union Planning Commission Montek Singh Alluwalia at New Delhi on August 4 .
Ministers, Chief Secretary and heads of other Depts attended the preparatory meeting.
The meeting reviewed the progress of the projects being taken up under the SPA and three irrigation projects.
During the Chief Minister has also given instruction to all concerned to submit the utilisation certificates and the progress report of these projects within July 31 .
Besides the Chief Minister, Deputy Chairman of State
Planning Board, Chief Secretary, Principal Secre tary Finance/Planning and two officials from the State Planning Department are expected to participate in the meeting for finalising the State Plan size.
The State Government has projected a plan size of Rs 2425.92 crores including the SPA funding of Rs 800 crores for the current fiscal year.
The finalisation of the State plan has been delayed due to the conduct of the Parliamentary election.
