An 18-member musi-cal team of the Rhythms of Manipur has returned to Imphal after participating in the North East Fusion Music Festival at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal from July 21-23 .
The music festival saw the performances of Rhythms of Manipur, KCSGS from Assam and Abiogeneris from Nagaland.
The festival, Fusion-1, is the latest monthly programme launched by the IGRMS.
The festival will be held on dates 1-3, 11-13, and 21-23 of every month.
The Rhythms of Manipur has enthralled the crowd by using new musical instruments like Pena, Penao, Meitei Pung, Dholok, Langde pung, Santara and Bangsi during the festival.
It may be mentioned that the Rhythms of Manipur is one of the largest and vibrant music ensemble founded way back in 1985 .
To its credit, the musical band has earned name and fame throughout the country at several music festivals.
The band has also performed in various cities of the country.
