Thadou artistes Assn and Jubilants Band extends solidarity to Myanmar

Kangpokpi, April 06 2021:
The Thadou Artistes Association in collaboration with the Jubilants Band Motbung organized a Charity Live Concert at Mptbung model village in Kangpokpi District today morning amid the ATSUM emergency shutdown in the hill districts of Manipur.
The Thadou artistes Assn and the Jubilants Band sang on the street and sought public contribution for the struggling nationals of Myanmar and collected around Rs 80,000 .
Similarly another charity concert at Kangpokpi DHQs from 1 pm till late in the evening at downtown IT Road junction near Nute Kailhang and at uptown Kangpokpi bazar.
Speaking on the sidelines, director of Jubilants Band Rev Khupthang Sitlhou said that people in Myanmar including children and women are suffering tremendously owing to the military coup since February 1 this year.
He continued that the people are struggling for their livelihood and freedom while fighting for the country's democracy from the military wherein hundred of people lost their lives during the struggle.
He further said, that the Thadou Artistes Association and the Jubilants Band with the blessings of Almighty decided to used their talents for humanity cause especially for the people of Myanmar and seek assistance from public through live concerts.
Lastly he thanked all those who contributed generously for humanity and conveyed gratitude to the local bodies of Motbung and Kangpokpi for the success of the Live Charity Concert.
