Active cases touch 63 with 7 more positive

Imphal, April 06 2021:
The total number of COVID-19 active cases in the State has reached 63 after seven persons were tested positive at JNIMS, Shija Hospital, Asian Hospital, Tamenglong and Raj Medicity during the last 24 hours.
A press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that the seven civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (1), Imphal West (3), Bishnupur (1) and Tamenglong (2) .
Following recovery, one COVID-19 positive person was discharged from CAPF during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,435 (general population 25,989 and Central security personnel 3,446) .
This figure includes 63 active cases (general population 58 and Central security personnel 5) and 28,998 recovered cases (general population 25,561 and Central security personnel 3,437) .
The recovery rate as on Tuesday is 98.51 per cent while the death toll stands at 374 .
Air passengers who came to the State on April 2 by Indigo flight 6E-6181 in rows 4 to 10 have been informed to report to the COVID-19 Common Control Room on 18003453818 or respective District Surveillance Officers.
On the other hand, 923 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Monday.
So far, 88,642 people including 31,733 health care workers have been vaccinated against the virus in the State.
