President of Manipur People's Party (MPP) Dr Nimaichand Luwang said his party has strongly denounced the incident of killing a person after kidnapping for ransom and even after receiving ransom money.
The MPP President was speaking while visiting the family members of Yengkhom Krishnadas � who was brutally killed by his captors even after accepting a ransom amount of Rs 25 lakh � at Kakching Sumak Leikai.
Dr Nimaichand Luwang was accompanied by the party Adviser Th Chaoba, the party's publicity secretary W Hemanta, and various other members of MPP to share the grief of Krishnadas' family.
Dr Nimaichand also expressed his desire that the government provides a job to Krishnadas wife Bimola on humanitarian ground in order to enable her raises her two children, including a two month old infant.
Condemning the inactivity of the government in booking the culprits, MPP Advisor Th Chaoba also suggests filing a case before the High Court in order to establish the truth behind the killing incident.
He also suggests extracting information regarding the case through the provisions of RTI Act.
Bimola, wife of Krishnadas, said her husband was kidnapped only for ransom while expressing disappointment on the killing of her husband after paying huge amount of ransom money.
She said even as a 9mm pistol's magazine was reportedly recovered by an SI of Imphal West district police, Ningombam Ingocha from the suspected captors of her husband on the day he was found killed, the same has not been included in the report of the IO.
She said the letters 'KI' is inscribed on the pistol's magazine.
Bimola also wants the government to provide her a suitable job in order to help her raised the two children.
She also said that even as the police claimed to have arrested six accused in the crime, she is yet to recover the Rs 25 lakh which was paid as ransom money.
She wants the incident did not happen to others.
A member of the JAC formed in connection with the killing, who was present on the occasion, expressed his discontentment that the government is unable to establish the truth behind the killing even after the arrest of six accused.
He said the JAC is all set to launch intense agitations.
He said the JAC is also thinking of filing a PIL regarding the case.
