Meira Paibis of Thouda Bhabok Leikai set record straight

Social worker, Nishikant Singh Sapam is not involved or related to the May 18 commotion that broke out regarding distribution of relief materials at Thouda Bhabok Leikai, said a joint statement of a local club and Meira Paibis today.
A meeting on the incident was held today at the residence of one Konthoujam Ranjit Singh at Thouda Bhabok Leikai in the presence of Dr Th Bimola Kumari, S Shanti Leima and K Sushila and it took several resolutions, said the statement.
It stated that on the day of the incident on May 18, followers of a social worker had distributed relief materials at Thouda Bhabok Leikai without the prior permission of the local club and Meira Paibi Lup.
As such, the claim made by one Sushila Takhellambam is baseless.
Further, the charges levelled against S Sachin and S Bishwajit by some on social media are misleading and have no merit, said the joint statement.
It also clarified that the Nishikant Singh Sapam is not in any way related to the incident.
