Imphal, May 02 2015 :
KK Paul, the governor of Manipur on Saturday visited the border town Moreh to inspect various under construction facilities there.
These are parts of the union government's Act Policy undertaken at Moreh.
The under construction facilities he inspected include the integrated check post, the Indo Myanmar friendship gate No I and II and the border fencing.
He felt the need to open one oil depot near the integrated check post and he gave instructions to the officials concerned in this connection.
It is likely to come up shortly.
The integrated check post will be completed within September 16, according to information made available to the governor.
Apart from the absence of the oil depot the governor noted that there is no workshop and resting place for the drivers.

Later the governor had an interaction session with the community leaders of Moreh in the Trade centre.
Apart from the interactions they submitted memoranda to the governor listing their demands.
The main demands dwelt on the paucity of water and power shutdown the people have been experiencing all these years.
They also pointed out that the frequent strikes and blockades along the Imphal-Moreh highway are affecting the legalized border trade and causing untold hardships to the people.
When the Myanmarese national enters Manipur there is no immigration fee.
However in case of the Indians entering Myanmar they have to pay immigration fee and they urged the governor to waive it.
