Imphal, March 01 2015:
The parents and guardians of the students, who have not received their admit cards for this year's Class X and XII examinations of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), have urged the State Government to request the Chairman of CBSE to conduct special examination for their aggrieved wards.
Talking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here on Sunday, Secretary of Guardians' Association of CBSE Victim Students L Tampha said that the State Government is highly expected to act in the interest of the students and save their valuable academic career.
The association had already appealed to the State Government to urge the CBSE authorities to arrange special examination for the students who have not received their admit cards timely, she noted.
The Secretary also warned of launching intense agitation along with various other civil organizations if the State Government fails to act positively and take up stringent action against those erring schools.
General Secretary of United Committee Manipur (UCM) Joy said that the present admit card issue arises from the negligence of the State Government which does not keep an eye on mushrooming private schools in the State.
UCM has also submitted memoranda to the Prime Minister and Union HRD Minister urging them to conduct special examination for the aggrieved students, he said.
Joy further demanded the authorities concerned to take befitting action against those erring schools which are trying to mar the students' lives.
