MAXIMUM SECURITY measures in and around the important installations nearby the Raj Bhavan and Chief Minister�s Bungalow have been taken up following an intelligence report of carrying out attacks by the militants.
Meanwhile, state Governor, Gurbachan Jagat and chief minister, O Ibobi held separate meetings today with the top officials of the state home and police department and reviewed the law and order situation in the state apparently in the aftermath of the received of the threats of the militants.
The tighten security measures in all the government institutions located nearby the Raj Bhavan and Chief Minister�s bungalow were taken up based on the state intelligence report exploding bombs by the militants, a highly reliable source said today.
According to a police officer who did not want to name, they have information that PREPAK and a group of KCP (MC) are planning to attack with bombs once again at the Raj Bhavan and Chief Minister�s Bungalow as per the intelligence reports.
They are also planning to explode bombs to any structures located nearest to the two places even if there plan to attack could not be achieved owing to the tighten security measures.
With this entry of people including media persons in the office of the directorate of information and public relation (DIPR) located between the chief minister�s bungalow and state police headquarters has also started strictly monitor by detailing police personnel at the gate.
The office which media persons used till late evening to collect news and government handouts has been asked to close from 5.30 pm in the evening effective from today.
With this, media persons were asked to leave the office complex before the deadline after collecting the require information.
As heard by some people, a police officer who visited the DIPR office as a part of security measures told there that �chawkidar di kumsi-gi kuthi yengdrasu yare� undergrounds are going to explode bomb here shortly.
It may be mention here that the current DIPR office is hanging for shifting at MSRTC complex at Moirangkhom as temporary arrangement till the construction of new building at Keishampat is completed.
In the same manner at DIPR, taking up tighten security measures in and around the other offices located nearby the Chief Minister�s Bungalow and Raj Bhavan were witnessed this evening.
The construction works at the Central Library office near the Raj Bhavan has also been under suspension on the security point of view.
Meanwhile, state Governor, Gurbachan Jagat convened a meeting with the top officials of the state home and police department today at Raj Bhavan and discussed on the law and order situation in the state reportedly after blast his residential complex.
The meeting was attended by the state chief secretary, Rakesh, principal secretary (home) DS Poonia and DGP, Y Joykumar among other, source said adding that the officers present there informed on the security measures and other related issues to the Governor.
What had the Governor told to the officers could not be immediately confirmed from the source.
Chief minister, O Ibobi also held a another round of security review meeting with the top brasses at his office bungalow.
