Ray of hope for rescued children in Tamenglong

Tamenglong, July 24 2011:
A ray of hope shines to some girl victim of child trafficking brought back from Bangalore, Tamil Nadu and Mumbai of Maharastra.
The Zaozian Children Home at Tamenglong District HQ near Zeliangrong House has taken care of the victims.
It may be recalled here that every year some Zeme children from Tousem Sub- Division of Tamenglong District were retrieved from unrecognized children home of Banglore and Mumbai by Social Welfare Department in collaboration with CWC Tamenglong.
While disclosing to this reporter, the spokesman of IWCF said that all the girl children were taken care by Zaojian Children Home under Indigenous Women and Children Foundation, Tamenglong.
At present as many as 20 children were taking shelter with free food and lodging, tuition, and free medical care and education.
Child trafficking frequently occurs in Tousem Sub- Division of Tamenglong district due to poor living condition, lack of proper schools in the locality and many other reasons.
Seeking free and better education outside state by fault promise of some individuals were some of the main factors for child trafficking.
IWCF is still hoping that the administration would assist to take care poor and needy.
