National Integration Tour flagged off

As part of the Civic Acttion Project, 4 Assam Rifles, HQ 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S) kicked off a 14 day National Integration Tour for children at Chandel district today.
The tour was flagged by Brig R K Singh, Deputy IG AR(S).
20 children (9 girls and 11 boys) alongwith 2 teachers from St Mary's School and Govt High School Sajik Tampak, Standard English High School Sugnu, St Mary High School CCpur and MB Saichang UPS School of Shellon and a team of 4 AR under command of Maj KVS Raghuram OIC NIT, will visit various tourist and historical places in Delhi and Agra during the tour.
The area of Sajik Tampak, Jhoupi and Shellon is a remote valley located in the southern part of Chandel district.
These places lack basic amenities required in day to day life and the area is highly isolated from hinterland India, said a statement issued by the Public Relation Officer of the AR.
The National Integration Tour is aimed at providing an exposure to the students of rich cultural heritage of the country and an opportunity to visit various places and interact with dignitaries.
The tour will imbibe national pride and develop feeling of patriotism from an early age.
The tour will definitely kindle ambition and dreams within the students to work in big cities.
The tour will be an eye opener for the students from Sajik Tampak, Jhoupi and Shellon as they will be aware of the vastness of the outside world, said the statement The children and the team will be given an opportunity to interact with the President of India Ramnath Kovind, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Sports Minister Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore (Retd).
They will also meet high ranking Army officials during the tour.
The students will visit various places of interest like India Gate, Parliament House, Rastrapati Bhavan, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Rail Museum, Rajghat, Akshard-ham, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri.
