Not rumour but planned repression: RPF

Imphal, August 30, 2012:
The recent attacks on North East people, particularly students of Manipur was one of the most meticulously planned repressive measures unleashed by the Government of India with a sinister motive to suppress an entire generation of students.
The Government of India has realised that suppressing the North East people with military force would draw international criticisms.
It has also realised that the North East people can be put to slumber for a long period by suppressing its students who would form the core of resource pool, the proscribed RPF alleged in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary T Leisemba.
Even as Home Minister Gaikhangam was coaxing the people of Manipur to go back to their educational institutions and companies where they studied/work in Bangalore, Pangambam Ravi Meitei s/o Sanggai of Khurai Ningthoubung Leikai was found murdered at Khuda Lahor near his college at Chandigarh, alleged the outfit.
Before this, Manipuri student Md Sarif was thrown out of a running train and killed on August 18, and then another Manipuri survived narrowly when he was assaulted inside a Goa bound train from Delhi on August 25. Some months back, Richard Loitam was thrashed to death inside a college hostel at Bangalore.
Apart from these, there were many cases of rape, murder and assault on North East people in different cities of India.

In the meantime, Chief Minister O Ibobi has been preaching that people coming from different States of India should be allowed to live comfortably in Manipur just as Manipuri people are being allowed to live freely in different parts of India.
But the so-called leaders of Manipur do not have any idea that the Government of India is following a covert policy to exterminate all the North East people, the outfit alleged.
The recent goodwill mission of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister R Ashoka was aimed hoodwinking the North East people .
No one can say what would happen and how many North East people would be killed when they return to different Indian cities.
Even after reaching their destinations, no one guarantee whether the students can study with peace of mind or whether the professionals can work with a sense of security.
On the other hand, communal tension has been building up in Assam, Meghalaya and Manipur due to the incessant influx.
Parents in Manipur are now unable to sleep peacefully thinking about their sons and daughters studying in different cities of India.
By and by, it has become clear that the Government of India has been hatching a long term policy to derange all the North East people.
Those agents of the Government of India who have been shouting all these real happenings as mere rumours need to be gagged otherwise all the people would suffer great misery.
Saying that North East people are being killed systematically, the RPF advised all the North East people to be on guard.
It is time for the North East people to analyse why they are being called 'chinkies' by mainland Indians who are racially different, the outfit added.
