No 6th Pay, no vote: Govt employees

Reiterating the demand for implementation of Revised Central 6th Pay Recommendations in toto, state government employees working under various sectors have jointly announced their decision to abstain from voting for 'anti-employees government'.
In a joint statement, Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of AMTUC and AMGEO, Council of Teachers' Association (COTA), Manipur Secretariat Services Association (MSSA) and Manipur State Pensioners' Union (MSPU) have also demanded equal treatment to all the employees.
Recalling the events leading to the downfall of Jayalalitha government in Tamil Nadu and CPM-led Buddhadeb government in West Bengal, the joint statement observed that no government which ill-treats and deprives the due rights of the employees have ever been able to survive for long.
The joint statement has been signed jointly by Secretary General of JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO Chingtham Chandramani Singh; Co-convenors of COTA M Debendro Singh, P Koireng Singh and Ch Shantikumar Singh; General Secretary of MSSA Purujit Lairikyengbam and General Secretary of MSPU Laishram Tombi Singh.
