UTLA-SK Thadou refutes claimed made by AR, Police

Jiribam, October 03 2018: In a press meet held at an undisclosed location in Jiribam, General Secretary Robert Singsong of United Tribal Liberation Army (UTLA- SK Thadou) categorically denied that Chungkai Singson Kuki of Mukthakal village, Tamenglong who claimed himself as SS Capt of United Tribal Liberation Army (UTLA- SK Thadou) and who was also allegedly involved in the kidnapping of Project Manager, Reddy Construction Company on September 29 is related to the outfit.

The statement said that the man who was arrested by the Battalion of 22 Sector Assam Rifles, Kadamtala, Jiribam under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) and a team of Manipur Police Commandos was expelled from the outfit in June 2015 due to non-adherence to outfit's rules and regulation.

A news report has also been carried in leading print and electronic media regarding this arrest, added the statement.

United Tribal Liberation Army (UTLA- SK Thadou) is under the obligation of an agreement and will never involve in any anti-social activities that can jeopardize the agreement, the statement added.
