Death Anniv of Dr Kishan, Token and Rajen observed

Imphal, February 17 2012:
The 3rd Death Anniversary of Dr Kishan, the then SDO of Kasom Khullen; Revenue Mandal Y Token and Driver A Rajen, who were found brutally killed on February 17, 2009 after being abducted by some NSCN (IM) cadres from near the gate of Ukhrul DC Office few days earlier, was observed at Maparee Ningshingkol, Uripok today.
Organised under the aegis of JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Dr Th Kishan, Y Token and A Rajen, a large number of people offered floral tributes to the departed souls at their memorial stone erected at Maparee Ningshingkol, where the mortal remains were laid to rest.
The anniversary was graced by Rk Nimai, Commissioner, Art and Culture, GoM and S Tikendrajit, President, JAC as Chief Guest and President respectively.
L Sadananda, Secretary, Senior Citizen for Society; Advocate Khaidem Mani and A Mobi, President, All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) were also present at the occasion as Guests of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Y Kapur, Convener, JAC, said that forming a JAC against any unwanted incident is a trend in the state.
But at times, the JACs formed seem to turn backward before reaching their goal.
But the JAC formed against the killing of Dr Kishan, Y Token and A Rajen would never retract its stand until and unless justice is done to the three victims.
The case is currently being fought at Patiala High Court, Delhi.
Advocate Khaidem Mani observed that the brutal act of murder committed on the three innocent victims was really unfortunate.
For justice to be brought about over such cases, the matter should be taken up in the law court.
Although going to the court may be time consuming, yet justice would finally prevail and the culprits would be awarded befitting punishment, Mani assured.
Speaking as Chief Guest of the observance, RK Nimai also maintained that brutal act of killing Dr Kishan, Y Token and A Rajen was indeed an act of terrorism.
