Polling personnel of 27 polling stations sets off stations

Polling personnel on duty in the 27 polling stations at Tipaimukh and Henglep under Churachandpur district have started leaving for their destination, in connection with the upcoming Assembly polls scheduled for January 28.All the polling personnel of the state will be reaching their polling stations by January 27. Out of the 30 constituencies in Tipaimukh Constituency, polling personnel for 18 polling stations have started leaving for polling stations.
Out of the 50 polling stations existing in Henglep constituency, polling personnel for 9 polling stations have left for their destinations today.
According to a source from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, among the total number of 2357 polling stations in the state, the polling personnel engaged in the polling stations located in the interiors of the hill districts has been dispatched off today.
The District Election Officers of the hill districts of the state has been advised to see that all the polling personnel of their district arrive at their destination in time.
The source further reports that all security personnel have also started leaving for their designated posts.
All necessary precautions for making bunkers and tents have also been made at some polling stations.
Meanwhile, all arrangements for the transportation of Presiding Officers and Polling Officers on duty in Saikul, Kangpokpi and Saitu have also been made.
The bus arrangements to transport them from Imphal to Kangpokpi have been made, said a press statement released by ADC Kangpokpi.
The busses for transport will be stationed at Kangpokpi bus parking at Khuyathong.
There will be altogether 12967 polling personnel engaged in the coming election.
In Imphal East, 1964 polling personnel will be engaged in 357 polling stations, Imphal West will have25836 polling personnel in 391 polling stations, Bishnupur will have 1074 polling personnel in 196 poling stations, Thoubal will have1986 polling personnel in 351 polling stations, Chandel will have 721 polling personnel in 139 polling stations, Ukhrul will have 985 polling personnel in 179 polling stations, Senapati will have 1777 polling personnel in 323 polling stations, Tamenglong will have 803 polling personnel in 186 polling stations and Churachandpur will have1502 polling personnel in 273 polling stations.
