Sonowal inspects SAI Centre

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) Sarbanada Sanowal today inspected the SAI (Sports Authority of India) Centre at Takyelpat, Imphal.
Prominent leaders of BJP Manipur Pradesh including state president Th Chaoba accompanied the Minister.
The Minister was on a two-day visit to Manipur.
Today morning, he went to the SAI Centre at Takyel.
There, he inaugurated a state-of-the-art modern fitness centre for SAI players.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Sarbananda Sanowal said that Manipur players have been contributing significantly to the sports movement and achievements of India, and added that the Narendra Modi-led Government at the Centre is very much aware and thankful for this contribution.
He informed that the Central government is considering all possible steps and measures to further develop the sporting potential of the players of the state.
Later, the Union Minister inspected each department and section of the centre, and checked the present condition of the equipment and the machines.
Apart from Th Chaoba, state BJP leaders including general secretary M Aswhinikumar were present in the inspection.
Thereafter, Union YAS Minister Sarbananda Sanowal met Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi and his council of ministers at the CM's bungalow.
A reliable source said that the present law and order situation of the state and the security measures for the coming ADC polls of June 1 have been discussed.
From there, he went to Manipur's famous Loktak Lake with his BJP party members.
The team also visited the Water Sports Complex which was being set up at the lake itself.
At around 2 pm today, minister Sarbananda left Imphal Airport for Delhi thereby winding up his two-day trip of Manipur.
