CM Ibobi bats for speedy development with available fund

Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has expressed his wish for picking up the pace of development with the available fund of the State Government.
On Saturday, the Chief Minister inaugurated a newly constructed Children Home building exclusively for girls at Takyelpat.
He attended the function organised by the Social Welfare Department as the Chief Guest.
Ibobi appealed all to speed up the pace of development with proper use of the available fund.
He hailed the Social Welfare Department for constructing the Children Home adeptly.
"My Government is planning to build such skillfully designed buildings in the remote areas of hill districts too," Ibobi said.

There are a number of NGOs working for the welfare of children in the State, the Chief Minister said adding that the Government needs to take action against those NGOs which are misusing funds.
Transparency must be maintained by all NGOs, he said and appealed to such organizations to work sincerely for the betterment of children in the State.
Minister AK Mirabai, who attended the function as the President, said there are 20 Children Homes run by various NGOs in the State.
She informed that her department is building Children Homes for each district and that many such buildings have been completed.
She said the Children Home at Takyelpat was constructed by the PWD with the funds from the Social Welfare Department.
A new policy of education is likely to be introduced in the country by 2016 and that Government schools are expected to start from class I, Education Minister, who was the Guest of Honour on the occasion said.
All children from Anganwadi centres are likely to be enrolled in class I in Government schools, Okendro further said.
He added that there is also a plan for further collaboration between Social Welfare Department and Education Department.
Chief Minister Ibobi also planted several saplings in the surrounding of the Children Home.
AK Mirabai also declared the commencement of the vocational training programme for the Observation Home, Takyel.
