Cong MLAs being pacified to avoid trouble in ministry expansion

To avoid any possible trouble in the course of expansion of the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh-led Ministry, Congress MLAs are being called to Delhi every now and then for pacifying them, according to a reliable source.
The source said the historic win of the Congress party in getting 42 seats in the 60-member House in the in the recent election to the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly is becoming a cause for headache for Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh.
AfterGaikhangam, Debendra and Phungzathang Tonsing were inducted as Cabinet Ministers and given portfolios of Home, Law and Health, only eight Ministerial berths are left for filling up in the Ministry whose size limit is only 12 Ministers, and it is becoming a tough task for the Chief Ministers who should be inducted as Ministers.
Among the 42 elected Congress legislators, there are nine Kukis, five Nagas, 3 Muslims and two women.
