Abdul Kalam remembered on National Education Day

All Manipur Muslims (Meitei Pangal) Welfare Association (AMPWA) observed 'National Education Day 2018' at its office at Hafiz Hatta, Imphal East today.
Dr Syed Burhanuddin, Chairperson of Manipur State Minorities Commission, Janab AR Khan, president AMPWA, Janab MA Sattar, Central Executive Committee Member, AMPWA and Janab Akhtar Hussain, vice president, AMPWA.
National Education Day is being organsied across the Nation to celebrate the birthday of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad commemorating his contributions in the field of education.
AMPWA also observed the day to remember the life and contributions of Maulana Azad, the first Education Minister of India.
Janab MA Sattar, while speaking on the occasion, stated that Maulana Azad not only contributed to the freedom struggle but to other aspects of development including education.
Meanwhile, Dr Syed Burhan expressed happiness over the gradual development in the field of education in Manipur.
Janab AR Khan, president of AMPWA recalled Maulana Azad's concept of free and compulsory education.
The function was attended by CEC members of AMPWA and students of various schools in Manipur.
