Moreh, November 16 2014 :
Owners of six different houses, which are hired by the Government to accommodate State security forces in Moreh, are facing lots of inconveniences due to non-clearance of rent for 21 months.
The State security forces are staying in six different rented houses at four localities - Muslim Basti ward No 5, Prem Nagar ward No 3, Chingdong Leikai ward No 7 and Moreh Khunou Leikai ward No 9 .
It is said that owners of these houses along with their respective families are currently residing in other rented houses as their own houses have been rented out to accommodate the State security forces.
Meanwhile, they are facing serious financial problems as the Government has not cleared the rent for 21 months.
Community leaders said that unlike the accommodation of Central security forces, the condition of the houses where State forces are staying are too bad to live in.
Saying that law and order situation has improved a lot in Moreh after the deployment of State security forces, the community leaders urged the higher authority of the Manipur Police Department to look into the problems being faced by State security forces in the border town.
