Silver Jubilee of Lamkang Naga Snu Lop celebrated at Chandel

As the Lamkang Naga Snu Lop (LNSL) completed 25 years of its developmental activities, a Silver Jubilee celebration was held on the theme 'Women for Greater Change' to mark the grand event today at its Head Office Campus, Lamrinkhuw village, Chandel district.
The LNSL has come a long way with various noble activities for.
the empowerment of Lamkang womenfolk.
Since its inception, they have been regularly participating in various seminars, workshops and training programmes.
They also take part in Lui-Ngaini and meetings of Naga Women Union from time to time.
Appreciating the women leaders, Tribal Af- fairs & Hills Minister Vungzagin Valte said that as Lamkang is an important location , of Manipur, it can.
help bridge the hill-valley divide.
The Minister also stressed on the vital role and immense contribution of womenfolk in the society and lauded the responsibilities they undertake to execute their responsibilities effectively in all spheres.
He continued that the public of Chandel are fortunate to have a woman leader like Olish both in terms of political and social work.
CAF & PD Minister Thokchom Satyabrata Singh assured that it is a proud and happy moment for the Lamkang Naga Snu Lop as they have completed the 25.th Anniversary and assured that he will try his level best to fulfil the need of an office for the LNSL as soon as possible.
Minister Valte unfurled the LNSL flag and Minister Satyabrata unveiled the monolith erected to commemorate the Silver.

A souvenir was also released by SS Olish, former president of LNSL.
Sn Shangwarbilbungnu, Th Poona Sankhilnu and Sk Lovehring Tholungnu also attended the function as special guests.
Balloon release, prayer, cultural items, folklores, melodious songs and traditional attire parade were some of the showstoppers of the event.
