Special voter registration cum voter verification camps opened at Bpr, Tbl

Bpr/Tbl, February 23 2019:
With the launching of 2 days Special Voters Registration Camp and Voter Verification and Information Programme (VVIP), the Deputy Commissioner and DEO of the Bishnupur district, Pawan Yadav, called a press conference at Conference Hall, DC Office today.
In the press conference, he informed that the camp is being organized at all the polling stations to ensure maximum registration of eligible new voters and facilitate verification of names and other details already registered as voters.
He also stated that Booth Level Officers in each camp will make necessary corrections before the final electoral roll 2019 is published.
Highlighting the different apps available for registration, complaints, corrections and verification of voter's details, he urged the people to participate in the event and extend support in the process of nation building.
Thoubal: In connection with the upcoming 17th Lok Sabha election, two days voter special registration camp was held at Thoubal and Kakching district to ensure maximum registration of voters today from 10 am to 4 pm.
The camp aim to cover 383 polling station in 10 AC of Tbl and Kak.
In a press conference held at officer chamber of Deputy Commissioner/District Election Officer Thoubal yesterday, DC Thoubal Haobam Roshita said that the camp will be held to register new voters who have attained the age of 18 years so that they can exercise their voting rights in the upcoming general election and appealed the youth to get them registered.
She said the camp will be held to facilitate voter verification and interaction programme to ensure maximum registration.
She also stated that strict instruction were issued to BLOs of the district to conduct the camp efficiently for ensuring maximum registration.
Meanwhile, a meeting attended by State and National level political parties was also held at DC Conference hall to discuss various poll issues during which all the political parties have been instructed to send one BLA at each polling station.
