State NEET topper feted

Samananda Yumnam, who emerged State topper in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by National Testing Agency was feted during a programme held at Moirangkampu Sajeb Laibung Community Hall this morning.
The felicitation programme was sponsored by the proprietor of Job Centre Babupara, Ningthoujam Bijoy and jointly organised by Star Club, Moirangkampu Sajeb and St John Foundation Imphal.
Pradhan of Moirangkampu Gram Panchayat, Lourembam Rameshwor; vice president of Star Club, Loukrakpam Basantakumar and N Bijoy graced the dais as presidium members who also encouraged the State topper.
It may be mentioned that 6596 students from Manipur appeared in the entrance examination to study undergraduate medical courses and dental courses in India and Samananda scored 661 out of 720 marks to top the State ranking, that too in his first appearance.
Samananda is the son of Y Kameshwar and Y (O) Angoubi of Moirangkampu Sajeb Leikai.
