Students' union of Ukhrul Higher Secondary School has threatened to launch agitation if the Government does not send appoint a full-fledged principal of the school within the current month.
In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Secretary, through Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, the student body pointed out that the school is being run without a full-fledged principal after the earlier incumbent had been transferred on November 15 without assigning any reason.
The student body has also announced its decision of closing down the school with effect from December 8 and not to fill up examination forms for class X to XII.
The State Government should also be held responsible for any eventuality in this regard, the memorandum categorically stated.
