It also urged the State Government to provide the opportunity of recognising Thang-Ta certified students in granting Government jobs and in admission at educational institutes too.
The State's Art and Culture along wth sports have been representating Manipur and these two fields have also been beaming in the International arena till present day, said a press release issued by secretary, Art & Culture, KIMACS.
It maintained that these fields had been neglected by the authorities for a long time while sports players, artistes/artists and cultural activits have remained in the shadows despite their efforts and contributions.
On the other hand, the small package sanctioned for Art & Culture is not enough to do anything beneficial for the art form or artistes/artists.
However, the Art and Culture Minister L Jayantakumar has taken up welfare initiatives.
