1st Intl Imphal Art Camp to be held

NE Brothers Entertainment Pvt Ltd in association with Kangla Art Group (KAG) and Mix-Media Foundation and sponsored by Slopeland Public School, Department of Art and Culture and Manipur Tourism Department, Government of Manipur will be organising the 1st International Imphal Art Camp at Slopeland Public School, Khongjom from tomorrow till June 26 .
Speaking to media persons at Yaiskul, Director of NE Brothers Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Nelson Elangbam said that artistes from all over India and abroad will participate in the 5 days long Art camp.
"The aim of the camp is to share knowledge of art as well as to study the contemporary form of art through workshop programmes", he said, "The camp will provide a platform to young budding artistes in Manipur to experience the knowledge of art and will also give an opportunity in exchanging cultures between Korea and India".
40 resident artistes including two artistes from Korea, 15 artistes from India including the North East region and 23 artistes from Manipur and another 15 non resident artistes from Manipur will participate in the camp.
Director of Art and Culture, Dr K Sushila, former consultant Dr RK Nimai, Imphal Art College Principal Yumnam Nabachandra will attend the event as the chief guest, president and guest of honour, he added.
